Mike Morgan: Mississippi 811 Operations Manager
It may be a brand-new title, but it certainly is the same old Mike Morgan! For the past 8 – 10 years,
he not only served as the Damage Prevention Manager for AT&T in Mississippi but also worked with stakeholders in Alabama, Louisiana and at
times Tennessee. Many times, he was likely the only representative of the communications giant you could reach. And for the most part, when folks reached out to him, it was not because everything was going well. His utility career began about 35 years ago when he went to work for Entergy as a lineman. From there, Mike was hired by AT&T as a service technician and spent the next 26 years working in various capacities that culminated in his favorite role, that of working with people to protect underground utilities.
Whether he was responding to the calls or investigating complaints, we knew that even if we didn’t like his response, we somehow believed it would be fair. Mike had
